From his Mother of Pearl Series, Austin Allen James brings us “Oyster Pearl.” This watery abstract painting features washes of sky blue and grayish white, with touches of metallic to create an ethereal glow. Subtle layers of shimmering gold invite movement and lyricism to the piece, for which the artist is well known.
